- Summary
Sue has a passion for teaching both dog owners and dogs a fun and rewarding way to learn.
- Bio
Growing up, Sue always had cats and dogs in the house, and loved spending time with them. Three years ago, she started volunteering as a dog walker at the SPCA serving Erie County, NY. It was this volunteer work that led to a desire to learn about dog behavior. At the SPCA, Sue has performed behavior evaluations for over a year, using the SAFER™ (Safety Assessment For Evaluating Rehoming) program, and she is currently involved in the enrichment program for dogs.
Sue will be teaching puppy classes and family obedience classes at Eagle Ridge Kennels after assisting for more than two years. She will also be teaching puppy, adult dog classes and a fun clicker class for all ages with Sit n Stay Pet Services in Hamburg NY. Sue is excited about teaching people how to communicate with their dogs in a manner that is positive and rewarding for both the owner and the dog.
Sue lives with her energetic eight-year-old yellow Lab, whose enthusiasm for learning teaches Sue something new every day, and an eight-month-old kitten.
