Vivian holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications and is a CDTI (Certified Dog Trainer and Instructor) of the ACABC (Association of Companion Animal Behavior Counselors). She worked as a part-time veterinary assistant for five years. Vivian is currently a dog trainer and animal behavior consultant in a veterinary clinic. She also volunteers her time to train and foster cats and dogs for local shelters.

Vivian grew up surrounded by many different animals. Her childhood love for animals and her natural curiosity blossomed into an intensive phase of study, after which she began assisting at a local veterinary clinic. There she was confronted with the need for behavioral training for pets as well as their loving owners, and became a firm believer in “positive reinforcement.” When she discovered clicker training for the first time, she felt an immediate connection.
Vivian believes in the capacity of clicker training to enhance the quality of animals’ daily lives and their relationships with their owners. These improvements result from better communication, as clicker training not only helps the animals understand their owners but also enables the owners to better understand their animals. With the clicker, these processes are combined in a way that both people and animals find effective and fun.
