Anja Ballwieser is a movie animal trainer, falconer, and the founder of an animal training center in Sindelsdorf, Bavaria, Germany. Her training center is a place where families and their pets can learn about medical and husbandry training and how to prepare their dogs or cats for the arrival of a new human family member. Anja also offers workshops for professional animal trainers.
For Anja, preparatory training, desensitization, and management of the environment are crucial parts in properly preparing animals for new challenges in their work and at home. Her goal is for these animals to live comfortably and produce excellent work.
Anja is a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP), Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT- KSA), and a certified dog trainer through the Veterinary Council Lower Saxony. She is a proud member of The Association of Professional Dog Trainers, The International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators, the Berufsverband der Hundeerzieher und Verhaltensberater e.V., and the Deutschen Falkenorden e.V. Anja is a lifelong learner, and considers it important to continue her international education. She loves to connect with fellow animal trainers!
In addition to her professional work, Anja volunteers for the German Retrieverclub (DRC) as a temperament tester. She lives at the foothills of the Alps with her husband, their son, three dogs, two cats, and a flock of chickens.
