Kelsey Parsons has had a lifelong interest in animal behavior and handling. Professionally, her animal-handling career has included work at a veterinary boarding facility, a humane society, a zoo, and an accredited service-dog organization, as well as private dog training. Kelsey found her niche with her position as a service-dog trainer. For the first time, she was able to use her interest in animal behavior to support her passion to help and serve others. Though no longer working in this role fulltime, Kelsey still continues to volunteer with service-dog organizations and hopes one day to return to this field professionally.
Kelsey grew up in Fairport, New York, and, after graduating from Grove City College, lived in various locations in New York and Pennsylvania. After getting married in 2013, she relocated to St. Mary's County, Maryland, where she and her husband founded Right on Cue Dog Training, LLC. The company provides private, in-home dog-training services.
A Karen Pryor Academy (KPA) Certified Training Partner (CTP), Kelsey’s background involves training work with dogs and cats primarily. However, she also has experience handling and training non-domesticated animals, including various types of reptiles, birds of prey, and larger mammals. She loves any opportunity to work with new species!
Kelsey and her husband share their home with a spunky cat, a puppy, a large fish tank, and the occasional service dog.
