Lynn Rives has been training dogs and teaching people for more than 30 years. In addition to being a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP), she is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), Certified Behavior Consultant (CBCC-KA), TTouch Practitioner, AKC CGC Evaluator, Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI), Fit Paws Master Trainer, Certified Canine Fitness Trainer, and Fear Free certified professional.
Lynn has worked with animals her entire life. She grew up around domestic animals and has raised horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, birds, and turtles. Lynn is also an experienced wildlife rehabilitator, specializing in mammals, turtles, songbirds, and raptors.
Committed to training both dogs and people with positive reinforcement methods, Lynn is also committed to continuing education. She attends behavior conferences and training seminars regularly, bringing the most up-to-date information to her clients. Lynn participates with her dogs in multiple venues that include AKC formal Obedience, AKC Rally, CDSP, and CGC (Canine Good Citizen), with recent AKC titles of CD, CDX, RN & RA. In addition, Lynn has certificates in TDI (Therapy Dog International) and ITD (Intermediate Trick Dog). As time permits, she visits assisted living facilities and hospitals with her therapy dog, Zane. In addition to Obedience, Rally, and Tricks, Lynn is now experimenting with Agility and Canine Conditioning with her dogs.
Lynn shares her home with six dogs (two rescues and four golden retrievers), chickens, horses, several neighborhood dogs, and her incredibly talented and patient husband.
