Merissa Kreidler is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Staffordshire Terrier Club of America, Virginia Kennel Club, Virginia Terrier Club, Virginia Dressage Association, and Arabian Horse Association. She has a degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and has earned her Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed designation.
Merissa is a graduate of Karen Pryor Academy (KPA) and is honored to be a KPA Certified Training Partner (CTP). She is very active in the dog community, competing with her dogs in conformation, as well as obedience, rally, agility, and more. She has represented AKC on numerous occasions at their My Dog Can Do That! events.
Merissa's regular sidekick is Cherry, her beloved American Staffordshire terrier, with whom she competes in conformation, obedience, rally, and agility. They are constantly looking for new sports to try. Merissa lives in Central Virginia with her husband Scott (a high school math teacher), their other AmStaffs (Twinkie, Annie, Smooch, Chewie, Luke, and Poundcake), and Kate, their Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever. Merissa and Scott also own three horses--Dash, Roxy, and Task. Merissa and Task compete regularly in dressage, as well as spend many hours a week exploring the trails around the area.
