Cinder has been training dogs for many years, professionally since the late 1980's. She learned traditional methods and crossed over to clicker training in 1995. She currently teaches Shy, Reactive, Puppy, Canine Llfe and Social Skills, Barky Snarky Dog and Treibball classes. She performs Behavior Evaluations for the Greater St. Louis Training Club, and privately, and is a Community Training Partner for Best Friends Animal Society. She has worked as a responder for Humane Society of MO, as well as ASPCA in a behavior capacity, and has specialized experience with fighting dogs and dogs with aggression and reactivity issues.
In her professional life, Cinder has structured and implemented the Shy Dog training program at the Humane Society of Missouri. She mentors trainers in learning to teach Shy and Reactive dog classes, and teaches classes for dogs who are Reactive to humans, as well as dogs. She is former Director of Training, Greater St. Louis Training Club, and is a current member of the Training Committee. She is an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, an APDT C.L.A.S.S. Instructor and Evaluator, and a K 9to5 Therapy Dog Evaluator. She is member of the American Treibball Association, and the Gateway Australian Shepherd Club, as well as Greater St. Louis Training Club.
Cinder has titled dogs in the American Kennel Club, and the Australian Shepherd Club of America, Obedience and Rally. She has been featured in St. Louis Magazine, Pets Edition, Training, in May of 2009, and featured in a trainer profile in the APDT Chronicle of the Dog, May/June 2008 edition.
