KPA Announces Collaboration with Dr. Marty Becker’s Fear Free Initiative

Two Organizations Work Together to Reduce Animals’ Anxiety in the Veterinary Clinic

Waltham, MA, January 4, 2017—Karen Pryor Academy (KPA) is excited to announce a collaboration between Dr. Marty Becker’s Fear Free℠ initiative and KPA's recently launched Better Veterinary Visits online course! The two organizations are natural complements, as they both work toward the goals of reducing animals’ anxiety in the veterinary clinic and improving animals’ overall well-being.

Developed by “America’s Veterinarian,” Dr. Marty Becker, the Fear Free initiative aims to “take the ‘pet’ out of ‘petrified’” and get pets back for veterinary visits. The Fear Free program promotes a considerate approach and gentle control techniques used in calming environments. Fear Free methods and protocols lead to the reduction or removal of anxiety triggers, which create a rewarding and safe experience for all involved, including pets, their owners, and veterinary health care teams.Learn more about Dr. Marty Becker’s Fear Free initiative.

KPA’s Better Veterinary Visits course provides veterinary care teams with practical, easy-to-implement protocols that will transform the experience of the dogs and cats in their care. KPA's efficient, science-based training techniques empower veterinary professionals to create enjoyable visits for pets, their owners, and their team.Learn more about KPA’s Better Veterinary Visits course.
